WIND LOADS ON CANOPIES

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next] Does anybody ave an example of wind load determination for a canopy? The wind resisting elements are a column and a beam forming a T. Something like:

-----------------------------

The T frames will be connected with purlins running in the other direction (3, one at the center and two at the edges) and roof decking on top. It is an open structure that will have uplift but I assume also lateral. How do you determine both using a US code? A solved example would be greta help.

Thank you!
