i would like to have some of your experiences about the restraint effect of beams having

variable cross sections on column buckling with arbitrary cross section.

 

any comments for or information about 

 

1. any software

2. source for "it" mentioned in aisc lrfd appendix f3 (i dont have galambos 1988)

3. any hints given as a reply
