Joseph, if you are running Windows 98, than the Windows defrag is more than sufficient. The improvements added to 98 make Scandisk and Defrag very good. They can also be used to maximize performance by aligning Windows code so programs conforming to Microsoft standards can be run faster. Norton's is great, but for features other than their defrag program. Nuts and Bolts also has a good set of tools. Hope this helps.
