Fwd: Flat Slab Buildings

Not sure if this made it out the first time I posted it.  Sorry if it
has been posted previously.

I'm currently looking at a concrete shearwall building that consists of
cast-in-place shearwalls, internal R/C gravity columns with 3'x3'x9"
capitals, and two-way 10" floor slabs.  No beams.  The building was
built in 1986/87.

Detailing in the walls and gravity columns appears to be reasonable, but
their doesn't seem to be any explicit treatment of collector forces for
the shearwalls.

Anyone have any experience with how this type of system has performed in
past EQ's?  Any particular concerns?
