The anchor should be installed into the thicker portion of wall. Generally it is considered standard practice to drill the anchor downward - especially at the roof parapets. If there is a wall thickness change at the floor diaphragm (ie, 13 to 17" wall), the anchor should be drilled into the 17" wall. |
